🛠️ Manual Character Creation
This guide explains how to manually create characters in Kuro AI by defining both visual style and personality. It's ideal for users who want full customization and control.
Starting Manual Creation
To begin:
- Go to the Tavern (opens in a new tab)
- Click the
+CHARACTERbutton at the top - You'll see three tabs:
- +Character — for personality and chat behavior
- Visuals — for appearance, prompt, model, and spell
- Preview — to finalize and create
Configuring Personality and Dialogue
In the +Character tab, fill in the following fields:

|---|---|
| Name | The character's name |
| Avatar | The character’s image — must not be too large (optimized for web display) |
| Description | A short summary of the character others will see |
| Personality | Add traits like flirty, shy, confident, sarcastic, gentle, etc. |
| First Message | How the character begins conversations — roleplay formatting is allowed |
| Scenario | (Optional) Sets the context or situation in which the character appears |
| Example Dialogue | Helps guide tone and personality — format using {{user}} / {{char}} |
| Background | Optional image for background — must be a .jpg or .png file |

In the Visuals tab, configure how the character looks:

|---|---|
| Prompt | Describe the visual appearance (e.g. 1girl, long blonde hair, school uniform) |
| Model | Select a model such as KRystal, KRystal3D, KRtoon, KRanime, etc. |
| Spell | Click the SPELLS button to Import or Use a visual spell |

Finalizing and Creating the Character
Once you’ve filled out both tabs, go to the Preview tab and review all the information.
👉 Click CREATE
🎉 Your character will now be available in the My Characters section of Tavern.
💡 Tips for Better Results
- Always fill Personality, First Message, and optionally Scenario
- Use KRystal or KRystal3D for best expressiveness in image replies
- Use Spells to enhance visual fidelity
- Add emotional cues like (smiles) or (looks away) for immersive replies
- Reuse well-written Example Dialogues to improve tone and behavior
